BrainMeld is a community of educators, academics, technologists and video game professionals whose goal is to bridge the information and understanding gap between the worlds of education and video gaming. We serve as a clearing house for the latest research, articles, surveys, demographics and other relevant information. We also provide discussion boards to promote a lively exchange of ideas amongst all those who excited by the learning potential of this exciting new medium.

The heart of BrainMeld is an evolving library of Video Game Teaching Guides that empower teachers to use the video games their students love to excite, engage and motivate them. Available for free, these guides allow educators to incorporate video games directly into their standards-based curriculum by providing detailed lessons and instructions. While currently still limited, the library will grow as teachers begin to share their experiences with the BrainMeld community, add new lessons to the guides and create entirely new guides using the Video Game Teaching Guide Template.
